Are you sick of nagging, begging, or threatening your loved one who drinks, smokes marijuana, or uses other drugs?

SMART Family & Friends is a facilitated peer-support program for parents, caregivers, other family members, or friends of people who are in any stage of addiction or recovery. SMART Family & Friends is based on community reinforcement and family training (CRAFT), which is an evidence-based program that has been shown to be extremely effective at helping family members both feel happier as well as actually get their loved one to seek help. The focus of the program is on what the family members or friends can do, including self-care, boundary-setting, and practicing positive communication.

SMART Family & Friends is particularly useful for parents of young people because the focus is on preserving the relationship and taking positive, helpful steps instead of severing the relationship or letting a child continue until they “hit rock bottom.”
